Main Pages are working, as well as the individual
pages for the horses. However, some of the individual pages are not
completed or updated from the old site (so they're a year outdated). Most do have the pedigrees if nothing else. We are trying
our best to get these pages completed and do appreciate your patience.

Well, this weekend was the
debut show for Lookin N Touchin, and my first show in 5 years!! I must
say that she certainly was the "country bumpkin" at the show! LOL She was
pop eyed and shying at pretty much everything. My goal for the weekend
was to end each class with a horse still at the other end of the shank! No
one run over or drug around would = a successful show! Turns out that not
only was it successful from my point of view, but when judge
W. Erwin of Bucyrus, OH tells me
that "if she'd of stood still for you I'd of used her.", and judge
G. Bailey, De
Pere WI
says that "Once that mare gets
a little more ring experience, she's going to do very good in the ring!"...
it turns out that we're going to be just fine on the show circuit!! I was
sooo worried that with only 2 wks fit on her that we were going to be really
out classed... and I'm always so afraid of being barn blind!! I truly
feel that had "Alley" been off the farm a time or two before this show, and
been fit on properly, that we would have been tough to beat!! Guess
there's next year & something to work towards!!

Well, Trevor and I were able to
take a mini "working" holiday, we left on the 20th and got home last night.
We hauled Steve (The Point After) down to Aaron & Robin Halls in Wichita, KS
to be fit up and shown for the 2010 AQHA World Show in 3 yr old stallions.
(here's keeping our fingers crossed! lol). I must say that I was
rather nervous about meeting Aaron & Robin, but that completely went away
after the first 5 minutes of meeting them!! We stayed until Monday,
and we able to observe all that Aaron does with the horses on a daily basis.
It was really nice to see, and we were able to ask a bazillion questions
(Sorry Aaron LOL). Aaron was great about taking the time to answer our
questions, as was his farrier Greg.
I have to say that I was not
wanting to head home. I have never felt so at home or at ease with
anyone the way that I did with these folks in such a short time. Aaron is so
forth right with information and opinions, that frankly it was rather
refreshing. His mother-in-law Connie, wife Robin and their 4 yr old
daughter Hailey (hope I got the spelling right guys) were all so sweet and
genuine! Nancy (Robins Aunt) took me boot shopping (thanks baby, I tried to
keep it painless lol ) Connie and I were both in tears when it was time for
us to go! I now know the meaning of "truly beautiful people" as every
single one of them is! I simply can not say enough good things about
these people, or the entire trip. I can say that we are both very
much, looking forward to our next visit with the Hall clan!

Oh, Aaron really likes "Steve"
too!... but don't ask him....he'll tell ya he hates him!! lol

WEBSITE LAUNCHED!!! YAHOOOO!
After 9 months, 2 computer crashes, 1 trojan
and a lot of hard work, here we are AGAIN! Please take a minute to have a
look around. If there is anything you come across that isn't working
quite right, feel free to email and let me know. The website is best
viewed in Mozilla, however, we've tried to make sure it will work in
other browsers as well.
We launched the first website on
February 1st, 2008,and the feedback had been very positive. Unfortunately
the server I was using changed their format, and at that time we began
having MAJOR issues with the website. So, in November of 2008 the
building process began again, and here we are! lol Website Launched and
almost complete :)
Plans are in the works to have a
professional photographer out to take pictures of the horses. Not sure
whether it will happen soon or not... Unfortunately until then, we are
all stuck with my untrained eye, digital camera, & mediocre pictures. lol
We are also very flattered by those
of you that have requested to exchange links to one another's sites.
Thanks you in advance for assisting us in promoting our horses.
Over the next little
while be sure to check back as we will be updating some of the pages and
finishing those that are still under construction. We do have a
guestbook for visitors to sign, none-the -less, please feel free to send us
an email at anytime with your thoughts, comments or inquiries.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Shannon
